Day 1 : Arrival

Our driver will meet you at the airport and drives you for your overnight stay at

Day 2-3: Momela – Arusha National Park

Hatari Lodge is a place out of the beaten tracks where you can discover the real masai live and culture. You will spend two days and enjoy safari activities arranged at the lodge. Arusha National park is a great place to start your first game drive. The lodge also offers magical walks around the forest at Mt Meru. Spend time with the local communities, Momella village or Masai Villages  around the lodge.

Day 4 -5: Mkomazi National Park

After your breakfast you will drive to Tanga Region, towards Mkomazi National park, which is one of lastest established National Park. This park is located in the northern part of Tanzania, between Moshi and Tanga. The park finds itself in a beautiful setting with both the Pare and Usambara mountains towering above its boundaries. Depending on the weather, Mount Kilimanjaro can also be seen from the park. The most famous members of the Mkomazi natives are surely the African wild dogs and the endangered black rhinos that live in a private sanctuary, run by the George Adamson /Tony Fitzjohn African Wild Preservation Trust. This park is also one of the best places to see large herds of oryx and gerenuks roaming freely in the open bush land.

Day 6-7-8: Usambara Mountains

These next days we want you to experience the local surroundings of Western Usambara Mountains. This green and unspoilt region is a great place to learn more about Tanzanian culture, local life and enjoy hikings around the mountains. You can visit the village Same, and its local market (Sunday Market day) near the Pare Mountains, Sakkarani Mounastry, Mazumbai Rain Forest, Irente Viewpoint and even you can enjoy a service at one of the churches of Lushoto Town.

Day 9-10: Pangani Beach

Time for beach break and relax for a couple of days in the amazing coastline of the Indian Ocean. Enjoy snorkeling in Maziwe Island, visit Ushongo beach or do a cycling tour around the area.

Day 11-12: Saadani National Park

After breakfast you will drive along Pangani coastline to Saadani National Park, the only wildlife sanctuary in East Africa to boast for an Indian Ocean beachfront. This park offers a surprisingly wide range of grazers and primates, among jiraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, wildebeests, elands, elephants, yellow baboons and velvet monkeys.  Take a boat trip on the mangrove lined Wami River and discover its population of hippos and crocodiles. You will also be able to see the green turtles along the coastline. Enjoy a unique and different safari experience out of the beaten tracks.

Day 13: Bagamoyo

Discover this hidden gem and discover the town that was once the most important trading port along the East African Coast.  Bagamoyo is home to many ethnic groups, including Wakwere, Wazaramo and Wazigua. Including people of Arab descent. Enjoy a city tour around the slave market, crocodile farm, kaole ruins, stonetown center visit, mangrove forest, or even fish with local fisherman.

Day 14

Dar es Salaam city tour or Safari in Selous.

Makumbusho village.
